History of the company

 
The Company "Leipziger Münzhandlung und Auktion Heidrun Höhn" was founded on July 1, 1990 in Leipzig (Germany).

In the beginning, the enterprise was located in the Katharinenstraße 11 in Leipzig and consisted of one shop and two small office rooms. At the beginning, the company had four employees, who had been members of the State Art Trade Agency of the former GDR. Already one year later, on June 17 and 18, 1991 the first coin auction took place including 2578 items. And recently the 64rd auction with over 4300 items was conducted successfully.

In 1996, the company induced by the success of their business moved into bigger office rooms in "Brühl 52", Leipzig (Germany).

At the moment, the enterprise has 13 employees, among them one trainee in business administration. Since 1996, the company has trained young people to become office managers and business administrators on a regular basis. Among the employees are besides the two seniors of the Höhn-family also their two daughters.

Since May 2004, the "Leipziger Münzhandlung und Auktion" is located in their own office rooms in the Nikolaistraße 25. The 70 m² selling area and office rooms of a size of 260 m² simplify the work and give plenty of space for the rich library.

The "Leipziger Münzhandlung and Auktion Heidrun Höhn" offers the following services: three or four auctions every year, regular storage lists, a daily opened shop where more than 7000 items are offered - that can also be found on the virtual stock list on the homepage.

Heidrun Höhn has been a member of the German Coin Traders Association since 1993. Since 2003 she has also been member of the IANP (International Association of Professional Numismatists).
